TDAM and TD Greystone Leadership update
The Toronto-Dominion Bank (TD) completed the acquisition of Greystone Capital Management Inc. (“GCMI”), parent company of Greystone Managed Investments Inc. ("Greystone") on November 1, 2018. Since then Greystone has been operating and serving clients as TD Greystone Asset Management ("TD Greystone").
TDAM and TD Greystone together share compatible cultures focused on a commitment to our clients and our community, as well as complementary investment disciplines focused on delivering better risk-adjusted returns.
The integration of our businesses and alignment of our teams has been very successful to date and we continue to evolve to meet the needs of our clients. With the growth of our business and expansion of our capabilities, we have decided to make some changes to our Chief Investment Officer (CIO) structure.
Effective September 1, 2019, Bruce Cooper will take on the exclusive and dedicated position of SVP & CEO, TD Asset Management. Bruce has an excellent reputation for leadership and proven investment excellence developed in his over 25 years of industry experience, including his role as SVP, CEO & CIO of TD Asset Management. Rob Vanderhooft, will become SVP, TD Bank Group & CIO, TD Asset Management. Rob joined TD in November 2018 through the acquisition of Greystone Managed Investments and has since served as SVP, CEO & CIO of TD Greystone. Rob brings with him tremendous industry experience and a proven track record of investment performance through his time with Greystone.
These changes reflect the breadth and depth of talent and experience that we have built within TDAM and TD Greystone and enable us to deliver a seamless leadership transition while continuing to deliver outstanding service and one of the broadest offerings of investment solutions to our clients.
